A Praise and Worship Concert with the Cape Town Gospel Choir.

Featuring guest artists and directed by Colin Peckham and Phil Robinson, join the band and choir as they lead an hour of worship, both in performance and corporate worship.

The Cape Town Gospel Choir was founded in 2010 and performed across the Mother City for 10 years until covid put a stop to their performances. Now relaunched, with an all-new membership and directed by Colin Peckham and Phil Robinson, the choir is ready to lift the roof with music both traditional and contemporary.

Artistic Director: Colin Peckham
Colin founded Origin in 1997. He studied music at Edinburgh University and theology with the University of South Africa. He served as a music advisor and worship leader for the III Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation and has directed many orchestras including the All Souls Orchestra and the Cape Town Philharmonic. He is the director of the Cape Town Gospel Choir. He's never happier than when he is writing orchestrations of congregational songs to lift and inspire. He is a missionary with Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, married to Norma with a son.

Choirmaster: Phil Robinson
Phil joined us in 2023, and he is also the director of the South African Youth Choir, and under his leadership there, the SAYC was awarded "Best Youth Choir" at the renowned ATKV Animato International Choral Competition for two consecutive years, and "Best Regional Choir 19 Years and Younger" at Tygerberg International Eisteddfod. He brings many years of choral directing experience to the role.
